Ok so i bought a dell inspiron e1505 off somebody and it had windows 7 on it. It runs a little bit slow and i was wondering how i change it back to orginal factory settings?How to take windows 7 off of dell inspiron e1505?There is a 99% chance the moron who illegally installed win7 blew out your recovery partition. This means you will have to run a LEGAL XP disk (dell will send you one free, but you must pay postage) OR you can PAY for a new LEGAL win7 install. The 1505 never came with vista. When you ask dell for the OS dvd, ask for your cd burning software and your dvd decoding software (again, it's free) The drivers disk is no longer available, but you can download them free from the net


You will now have to load the drivers by hand including all the interim reboots

you do NOT need to install modem, hd or optical drive software
reboot
cd burning software
reboot
dvd burning software
reboot
