I have a Dell, it won't connect to Internet and keeps freezing up. I did a scan it has several viruses. My subscription is expired, I bought spyware, firewall etc through my Internet service provider but I am unable to download due to internet connection problems.



i called Dell they want $50-250 to restore back to factory settings. Unless I pay 250 possibility of all data lost.

First, you use another PC to download Clamwin portable anti-virus

and install Clamwin portable on a USB pen drive.

After installation, start Clamwin anti-virus on the USB pen drive and update the latest anti-virus definition files.

Select the tools menu bar, set the preferences to remove virus.

When the USB pen drive is ready to be use.

Start the infected PC in safe mode by pressing F8 during start up.

Run the Clamwin Anti-virus that is installed on the USB pen drive to scan the infected PC.

Go out and buy a real anti-virus program. Buy either Norton or McAfee. Spyware only deletes spyware. You could also let a computer repair shop delete the viruses for you and return your computer to normal. Restore points don't always work with certain types of viruses but give a restore point a try, just restore your computer to before it got infected if you can.
