Can I install Windows 7 on my old Dell 700M laptop if dell does not offer the drivers?

I would like to upgrade my older Dell 700M 12" laptop. I have given it new life with an upgrade 320GB HD and more memory. My question is if I upgrade the operating system from Windows XP to Windows 7, can it still operate at optimal if I Dell does not offer the drivers?Can I install Windows 7 on my old Dell 700M laptop if dell does not offer the drivers?Yes you can install Win7 on that. You will have issues with the graphics I can tell you that right now, I had the same issue with my D400. Win7 has the drivers for everything but the graphics card. But you may need to change the core you're running to atleast something new because it will lag like hell if you don't.
