I just bought a Dell Inspiron 15 and it comes with a built in wireless card. When setting up my computer, I was able to connect to my homes wireless network. I am connected to the internet, but it wont load any websites. Is there something wrong with the computer or am I doing something wrong? Why wont my Dell laptop connect to the internet?Try going to the support website of Dell for internet troubleshooting, I believe you are using another computer because you have internet on right now, if not you won't be able to create this thread right?

Then just follow the instructions and if ever you need support with that, if you still have an active warranty you can avail of that and call the Dell Technical Support. If not, you can still call but you need to pay $59 troubleshooting fee (non-resolution based, just to help diagnose the problem)
The hardware technician needs to isolate the problem from a hardware to a software issue. When it is hardware related, then you need to purchase that since your warranty is already expired, otherwise (active warranty) that technician will send you a replacement part and if a technician is needed to install the part, an onsite technician will also be sent (if you warranty covers it - Next Business Day Onsite Warranty). If your warranty is a Return to Depot warrranty then you have an option to send the system to the Dell Depot to be repaired by technicians again for free if you still have warranty and for a fee if not.
Then, if your problem is software related, like if configuration issues, virus infection or Windows operating system reinstallation, then you need to call up the Dell Solution Station for software support. Your Basic Hardware Warranty (as the name implies) doesn't cover software issues. Kindly check www.dell.com/warranty for information on Dell Warranty.
I do recommend calling your ISP first to check the functionality of your network devices and their servers as well. So that when you call up dell, the troubleshooting will be flawless. I also recommend that you really call dell since it is the manufacturer of the computer. They know better that those technicians out there who say that they are better than the ones who made them machines.
