Can I flash the BIOS of a Dell Dimension 9100 with the BIOS of an ASUS board of the same design?

I have recently acquired a Intel Core 2 Extreme. Regrettably, Dell abandoned the BIOS before it could be updated to accept these Cores. However, ASUS has a board called the P5LD2 that uses the same chipset. Is there a way to flash the BIOS on the Dell to accept the new BIOS? Would suggest you download the Asus Update utility to handle the flashing of the BIOS and to bring it from Asus. This will confirm as to weather the process can be done.
