I hope this helps.How do you Replace a Dell Inspiron 1100 Laptop Keyboard?Look on the panel where the on-off button is , at each end there is a kind of slot that you can get the end of a small flat ended screwdriver in, gently push the end into the slot and prize it up, then go to the other end and do the same, then go to the centre and do the same thing, DO YOU GET IT, gently does it but forcefully if you know what i mean. Once this is off there are three screws that hold the keyboard down to the lappy ondo them and gently lift the keyboard towards you and you will see the conector that goes to the motherboard GENTLY prize it off BUT NOT WITH THE SCREWDRIVER your fingers should do it.

FItting the new one is the reverse, and there should not be any drivers to re-install.
