Should I add more memory to my Dell pc or just buy a new pc? What do you recommend?

I know a little bit (girl sense) but this has me whipped. Using Y!Answers a lot has taken up 60% of my memory capacity. My Dell was strong to begin with but now even defragging is useless.Should I add more memory to my Dell pc or just buy a new pc? A Pentium 4 or newer computer with at least 1gb of memory running at least XP should be fine for most computer users. However, if you have some old 512mb Celeron cpu computer, most people would suggest you buy a new one. So repost your question including:

CPU if you know which one you have

How much memory do you currently have

What operating system you are using
