Is it possible to open an Indesign program from a mac computer into a dell computer?

I need to open a document in Indesign from a mac computer, but that document has to be open now in a dell computer.Is it possible to open an Indesign program from a mac computer into a dell computer?First question that comes to my mind. Why does it HAVE to be opened on a PC.



Anyway... I have never tried it, but it may work. It could be much like Microsoft Word. If you create a Word document on a Mac you can open it on a PC (and vise versa). It never occured to me to try that with an Adobe program.
