What parts can I use from a broken Dell laptop?

My girlfriend dropped her Inspiron 1545, cracking the screen. Are there any parts I can use from that to upgrade my existing Dell Inspiron 1525? Can I use the memory? -Hard Drive

-CD/DVD ROM drive (Sell it or keep it...they break easily so having an extra isn't a bad idea)



-Speakers (Useful for electronic projects or science projects...maybe a friend can use them if you can't)



-Battery (Sell it if it is mostly-new. If it's older than 1 year, trash it)



In general everypart can be reused except for the screen. Keep them. They are worth some good money. You paid at least $500, the screen is only worth about $50 so there is $450 of scraps there to use or sell)---Or you can just buy new screen.
