Im really just looking for the pros and cons of buying a Dell INSPIRION 1521 notebook, so please a computer educated person who knows about notebooks these days, could i get some advise? Thanks. What are the pros and cons of buying a Dell from the internet?I bought my new laptop online and I like the easy setup to select the features that I wanted or didn't want and how it kept a running total of the cost throughout. I also got a free printer with my online order and free shipping. I placed my order and then saw that it was backordered, so I called Dell, and someone helped me get a computer that was in stock for exactly what I was going to be using it for and they were so helpful. I would suggest checking out online the features you want and then just calling Dell directly. They were extremely helpful and even called me back to verify that it was shipped correctly. They also put in a rush for it considering I was trying to get the computer by a certain date and made sure that everything went smoothly. What are the pros and cons of buying a Dell from the internet?Pros: Free shipping
No salesman to sell you up
Cons: Shipping delays (sometimes up to a month or more)
No salesman to help answer questions (unless you call Dell)What are the pros and cons of buying a Dell from the internet?its a pretty good laptop. i mean not for me but its good. the only way you can get it is from the internet so yea. it should be upgraded though hard drive like 120 and processor like at least 2.0ghz and ram 2gb, cuz they run vista and thats the recommended memory. 1gb is da minimum so yea. What are the pros and cons of buying a Dell from the internet?
I always have problems with Dell. Seems like every computer I've ever bought has had pieces fry, I've had a hard time replacing pieces, and, as opposed to a custom home built computer, the dell runs a lot less smoothly. I recommend you build your own laptop or pay someone to do it. It'll end up cheaper. Only problem is you might not have the best warranty - or any at all - and that you might not have free repair.
