Firstly, I am a devout Christian and a firm believer in the bible, and a avid student. (7 days a week studying the bible) I am not trying to belittle anyone’s beliefs, nor am I our to discredit the bible in any fashion.
Where in the bible does it state that we all go to heaven. Growing up in church, all I ever heard was, get saved and go to heaven. But after much study into the bible, I have not found where the idea is coming from. (the heaven part, not the saved part).
Psalm 37:29 (NWT)= The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it.
Matthew 5:5 (KJV)= Blessed [are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Psalm 37:11 (NIV,1984)= But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace.
Isaiah 45:18 (NLT, 2007)= For the LORD is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos. "I am the LORD," he says, "and there is no other.
Psalm 115:16 (AKJV)= The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's: but the earth has he given to the children of men.
Proverbs 2:21,22 (NASB, 1995)= For the upright will live in the land And the blameless will remain in it; But the wicked will be cut off from the land And the treacherous will be uprooted from it.
Revelation 11:15 (NIV, 2011)= The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.”
Let me clarify:
1) I am not asking how one earns salvation.
2) I am not out to bash, or am I bashing the bible or peoples beliefs in anyway
3) I understand that you need salvation to be able to inherit everlasting life
4) I am not interested in people’s opinions on the matter, so:
5) Please provide scriptures with your answer
All I am asking, is where in the bible is it said that we will be going to heaven after death. Because all I see is verses stating that we stay here on earth.
I am merely out for some clarification on a belief that I see held, that the “saved” go to heaven. And the reason I would like you to provide scripture with your answer is this:
1 Corinthians 2:5 (ASV)= that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
And i know that the bible does not contradict itself, so if you provide me with scriptures that support that we all go to heaven, please tell me how that it bunks the ones i provided. Again, not attacking anybody, i am just very very curious.Trying again: Where in the bible does is state that all saved individuals go to heaven?
I agree with you on all scriptures and would like to add the Bible says that even those that have fallen asleep in death will live once again here on this wonderful planet we call earth.
(Romans 6:7) For he who has died has been acquitted from [his] sin.(NWT)
American Standard: for he that hath died is justified from sin.(justified=g1344 δικαι?ω dikaioō ; 1) to render righteous or such he ought to be 2) to show, exhibit, evince, one to be righteous, such as he is and wishes himself to be considered 3) to declare, pronounce, one to be just, righteous, or such as he ought to be)
The following two scriptures show that what Romans 6:7 says is true because ALL who have died will be resurrected:
(Acts 24:15) and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
(John 5:28-29) Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29?and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment**.
The Bible's theme is the establishing of God's Kingdom here on earth, Jesus included this Kingdom in the model prayer where he said let YOUR Kingdom come here on earth as it already is in heaven!
Jehovah's Witnesses have been preaching about this Kingdom from door to door for over a 100 years as Matt 24:14;28:19; and 2 Tim 42:2 has commanded us to do:
(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.
(Matthew 28:19) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit,
(2 Timothy 4:2) preach the word, be at it urgently in favorable season, in troublesome season, reprove, reprimand, exhort, with all long-suffering and [art of] teaching.
Immortal soul, hell fire and the Trinity are pagan beliefs that the clergy has deceived their follows with to play on emotion and they have become RICH for their blood guilt of the righteous deaths of the true faith, this is why the scriptures say the harlot Babylon the great cup is full of the blood of the prophets of God and in Rev 18:4 ALL are advised to GET OUT of her because she is going down by the hand of the wild beast with seven head and ten horns that stands for world government.
Thousands have been downloading the Bible study aid What Does the Bible Really Teach free of charge under publications at www.watchtower.org and they are finding out that all of their loved ones that have died they will see again when the resurrection starts after Armageddon and all will be taught the truth by those that have survived this last battle that ever be fought on earth(Rev 7:9,14)
** The judgment is a 1000 year judgment period where all will learn the TRUTH about GOD'S Kingdom and will either except and attain the perfection Adam lost or they will just fade away so to speak!Trying again: Where in the bible does is state that all saved individuals go to heaven?
It does not say thatTrying again: Where in the bible does is state that all saved individuals go to heaven?
i agree with u. those scriptures are enough proof that God intended for earth to be man's home
I agree with your scriptural references %26amp; Fixerken's as well. Everlasting life will be here on earth not up in heaven for the majority of people that WILL live forever under Jehovah's righteous govt. So there aren't any scriptures anyone could logically give you to support living forever in heaven for again the majority mankind. There will be a smaller number of mankind, 144,000 that will go to heaven to rule as kings %26amp; priests w/the Christ. That is noted in Revelation. But the rest of us who have hope of living forever will reside upon the earth in perfect health, peace %26amp; security.
