Ok, i've got a Q. for all of you's... LOL?

I'm going with my school to serre chevalier, a ski place in france on the alps. I'm 13 and i'll be going in February 2011. I know, it seems kinda far away on the calender, but i've got to pay about $2000 or 900 pounds, (since im British, yet American. :P LOL). Not up front, but like 100 pounds a month. I'm REALLI freaken out, since i'll be going on a plane, by myself, to a place, that ive never been to before, and i'm staying there for a week. A dream, for some, a nightmare, for my self. I mean, what if my British Passport doesn't work? What if i have to use my American Passport? I know for a fact, THAT would be a hassle, going through security and stuff. And what if I get stuck out in France, and can't come home? ( That wouldn't be a total disappointment, though... :D LOL ) So, to the question that i've got for you cool people, Could you give me any advice on how to get through the airports in a jiffy? ( BTW, a jiffy is 1/100th of a second, so maybe not that fast. ) And, what to do if my friends aren't going? They won't tell me yay or neigh. Like, what should i do to beat the loneliness? And anything in that fashion. Thanx, SOOOO much u guys, and no freaken stupid remarks, kk? :DOk, i've got a Q. for all of you's... LOL?
Is this a 'lol' question, are you participating in an online travel game, or are you really expecting a serious travel answer???

you have to pay about $2000??? $2000 amount to approx. 拢1362

you have to pay about 拢900????? 拢900 amount to approx. $1362

next 'lol'!!!

Now seriously, why should your British passport "not work"? All you need is to show it to travel to France. Should the chip be damaged it will just be treated as a non electronical-passport and the 'poor' immigration officer has to open it and use the machine-readable zone to check whether you are warranted to be arrested.

Never use the U.S. passport to travel in Europe, you will just get 90 days to stay in France and have to queue through the foreigners lane. On return to Britain you would be considered a foreigner again who only may stay for up to 180 days...8-)Ok, i've got a Q. for all of you's... LOL?
you have more than "a" question

so let me address bits of it:

if your British passport is valid, no reason not to use it, but you could use your American passport. The only difference, entering France, is that the line will be longer for non-EU passports. When you return to USA, you ***must*** use your US passport.

You cannot speed up the process for going thru the airport, except maybe to be prepared at security (have your liquids in 3oz containers in quart ziploc ready, have your laptop accessible, be ready to take off your shoes %26amp; coat, have your boarding pass %26amp; passport in hand).

have a jolly good trip
