Firstly, I am a devout Christian and a firm believer in the bible, and a avid student. (7 days a week studying the bible) I am not trying to belittle anyone’s beliefs, nor am I our to discredit the bible in any fashion.
Where in the bible does it state that we all go to heaven. Growing up in church, all I ever heard was, get saved and go to heaven. But after much study into the bible, I have not found where the idea is coming from. (the heaven part, not the saved part).
Psalm 37:29 (NWT)= The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it.
Matthew 5:5 (KJV)= Blessed [are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Psalm 37:11 (NIV,1984)= But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace.
Isaiah 45:18 (NLT, 2007)= For the LORD is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos. "I am the LORD," he says, "and there is no other.
Psalm 115:16 (AKJV)= The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's: but the earth has he given to the children of men.
Proverbs 2:21,22 (NASB, 1995)= For the upright will live in the land And the blameless will remain in it; But the wicked will be cut off from the land And the treacherous will be uprooted from it.
Revelation 11:15 (NIV, 2011)= The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.”
Let me clarify:
1) I am not asking how one earns salvation.
2) I am not out to bash, or am I bashing the bible or peoples beliefs in anyway
3) I understand that you need salvation to be able to inherit everlasting life
4) I am not interested in people’s opinions on the matter, so:
5) Please provide scriptures with your answer
All I am asking, is where in the bible is it said that we will be going to heaven after death. Because all I see is verses stating that we stay here on earth.
I am merely out for some clarification on a belief that I see held, that the “saved” go to heaven. And the reason I would like you t o provide scripture with your answer is this:
1 Corinthians 2:5 (ASV)= that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
And i know that the bible does not contradict itself, so if you provide me with scriptures that support that we all go to heaven, please tell me how that it bunks the ones i provided. Again, not attacking anybody, i am just very very curious.Christians! Where are we getting the notion that we are all going to heaven?
It is not going to say that, because the bible does not contradict itself. Pretty sad that people are still clinging to this teaching, even under the face of overwhelming biblical backing against it.
Kind of like hellfire, and immortal souls.
.
We don't all go to heaven only those who are saved are going to heaven, it seems you missed the Book of Revelation where it clearly shows the 24 Elders in heaven and certan others.Christians! Where are we getting the notion that we are all going to heaven?
heaven is communion with God.....hell is non communion with God....it applies to the present
There is no heaven or hell
When you die, It's the same as it was before you were bornChristians! Where are we getting the notion that we are all going to heaven?
Two important passages:

There are, of course, others. Although the second passage is Jesus speaking directly to the apostles, Paul in the first passage is speaking generally to the Christians of Philippi.

I admire you seeking this out; that is good. :) I will try to answer my very best.
The Bible teaches that God is Love (agape), 1 John 4:8,16.
- Is there hatred in Love?
- Truly, how can a God, who is Love, send any of His/Her creations to hell *forever*?
Love (agape) is kind, patient, not envious, etc. and never fails (1 Corinthians 13). To me, these are all qualities of God, since God is love.
- Is God's love infinite or finite?
- Will God fail in forgiveness, washing away all sins, manifesting the fullness of His/Her salvation?
God is kind to both the righteous and unrighteous (Luke 6:35) and if Jesus Christ, who is a manifestation of God (John 14:9), teaches to love our enemies, how much more does God love His/Her enemies.
The list goes on...
It is more a question of conscience rather than doctrine.
God is love, and God's love for all is endless.
Blessings in God's love. :)
Scripture states to the contrary.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Jhn 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Jhn 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
=========
Mat 13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
Mat 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
Mat 13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Can you think for yourself because if you read the bible you wouldn't be christian, lol.
