How does a real estate agent become a "preferred" agent for Dell (the computer company)?

I am a real estate agent in Nashville TN. A close friend of mine is being relocated by Dell (the computer company) and Dell is paying his commission fees to sell his condo. The catch is that he MUST use a Dell "preferred" agent - so he can't use me!

Any idea how I would get on this list? I have searched Dell websites and google all day long and can't find a place to start. How does a real estate agent become a "preferred" agent for Dell (the computer company)?Call Dell Human Resources and ask them. They handle relocation contracts.

I would imagine it is listing BROKERS who become preferred in a certain town, and to simplify things, Dell HR would use a national brokerage.

You are in sales. Give Dell a sweet call!

BTW, you can bring a client to buy that condo and earn the other half of the commission. That would be most valuable to Dell right now. And if you can sell a condo in this market, you would really prove your worth! How does a real estate agent become a "preferred" agent for Dell (the computer company)?Dell probably uses one of the assorted relocation firms in the nation for such relocation situations. Unless you are registered with whatever relocation firm Dell uses, you can't get in on the action. Be advised that these relocation firms have certain criteria which must be met in order to be approved, and THEN you can expect them to keep 35-40% of any fees earned on the transaction.

Frankly, I avoid working with relocation firms. It's a huge hassle, requiring tons of paperwork, and then you end up losing over a third of what you earned. How does a real estate agent become a "preferred" agent for Dell (the computer company)?I agree with Acer. Relo's can be a huge pain in the hind end.

35 - 45% referral fee %26amp; then some also have a "national" referral fee paid to corporate of an additional 10%. You have to prepare something similar to a BPO, a written marketing plan, copies of all advertising, feedback on all showing and written status reports every week.

You'll be doing at least 50% more work %26amp; making almost half what you would on any other listings.

Most corporate relos are handled through SIRVA http://www.sirva.com/CorpRelo_Landing.as鈥?/a>

You could check their website for their requirements. Many have production level and designation requirements. There may also be a requirement of belonging to a franchise office and Board of Realtors.

What is the best processor that I can upgrade to for my Dell Dimension XPS T700r?

I've heard that this dell only supports processors with 100MHz front side bus and I've also heard that updating the BIOS might help. I just want as much speed as I can get. What is the best processor that I can upgrade to for my Dell Dimension XPS T700r?going by the specs,

    http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/sy鈥?/a>

the fact that this system has a 440BX chipset does limit you to the CPUs listed there. Anything faster (for Pentium III) requires a 133 Mhz bus. Plus, it can only go to 768MB RAM - that's good for XP, but you're not going to run Vista on this machine, and it's not going to win any races running XP, either. Maxing the RAM, upgrading the BIOS, maybe a faster hard drive - those are the options with this system, short of a new motherboard and CPU, but if you're going to get into multiple upgrades, you should seriously think about a new PC.What is the best processor that I can upgrade to for my Dell Dimension XPS T700r?This is a general Pdf from Support/Dell.com http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/sy鈥?/a> Click on the third line down in blue.(ya-da,ya-da Systems Reference and Troubleshooting Guide) Info on your system suggests to me that a Intel 850MHz cpu is top's for your system. Check into Intel.com's website on speeding up your cpu a little bit. 768 MB's of ram is max, and I saw 133MHz speed, top's according to the above doc. Check Weirdstuff.com,(computer parts!), cheap, quality parts,(mobo's, cpu's, ram, etc.), for people with limited fund's,(that's just about all of us!)

Is Dell a good computer brand? If not do you have other brands of a computer to recomend?

I want to get a laptop. Im looking at a dell laptop. Its only $400 and im only a kid so all i have is a summer babysitting job. Is this a good idea to get a dell computer at that price or does that seem a little risky for it being a piece of junk?Is Dell a good computer brand? If not do you have other brands of a computer to recomend?I have owned my dell laptop for 2 and half years now. It has never broken on me yet, and I am pleased with it. My brother in law has had his for 5 years and same deal. I would recommend Dell to anyone. "Dude your getting a Dell!"Is Dell a good computer brand? If not do you have other brands of a computer to recomend?
Dell overall is a decent brand. I haven't had too many issues with them. I'm sure others have horror stories. It's not so much the brand of the computer that's good or bad but what is in the computer itself. If you have a specific model in mind post a link and ask if it's a good computer or not. It also depends on your needs. What you plan to use the computer for. Take these computers from dell.

    http://www.dell.com/us/en/home/notebooks鈥?/a>

I probably wouldn't buy the cheapest one here, but that's just me. It might suit you perfectly. They probably wouldn't do so good for gaming or software development and testing but you could get on the internet and other basic tasks.

So post the model you are looking and what you intend to do with it and I'm sure you'll get a fair answer. Is Dell a good computer brand? If not do you have other brands of a computer to recomend?Their desktop lines are fairly decent, and their Latitude series of business laptops kick ***. Their consumer Inspiron laptops though aren't that great from what I've heard.

For $400 you might be able to get a used or refurbished Latitude off Dell Outlet. The E5400 model goes down to that price and is decent, and is built significantly better than any Inspiron in that range.
It would be very nice if you told us the specs, but anyways, because Price is such an issue, check Newegg for prices.

But dell only best in desktop. For laptop , i suggest you to use Acer or HP. That brand is durable and suitable for kid to use.Is Dell a good computer brand? If not do you have other brands of a computer to recomend?

I purchased a laptop from dell but no Antivirus or Home office?

I customized my pc on dell's website to include McAfee Antivirus and Microsoft Office, but I cannot find it installed on the system.Would it be on the resource dvd?I purchased a laptop from dell but no Antivirus or Home office? If not in Start / All Programs, then yes, most likely bundled on the software/drivers disc that came with the computer.

You really should switch to Avast, or Avira. McAfee is such a bloated resource hog.I purchased a laptop from dell but no Antivirus or Home office?Yup, it should be on that CD. If there is more than one, it is probably on different discs.
